Valentine 2

It is only 37 degrees but real feel is 43 degrees!!!! Wow, that sure is different for this area!
I've been busy making some Valentine Gifts for the grand kids. I don't give much candy so I make things. I have made some little robots that I got from www.myscrapchick.com.  They are magnets. I have been making magnets for the kids for some time now. They still have some on the refrigerator from at least 5 years ago. They use them to hang their art work and I have seen their parents even use them. lol  Then I made some book marks because all my grand children love to read. I used the owl punch from Stampin Up along with the others.  I don't know if they still carry it. Thank You for stopping by.

Wishing You...

It's suppose to be warmer this weekend so we shall see!

You can never have too many birthday cards!! I make the flowers myself and learned how from Kittie Caraacciolo 's blog www.KittieKraft.com I love all her work and have followed her for years now. The flowers are also a lot of work. I can never quite get mine to look exactly like hers.
I made the square with Martha Steward punch around that is very old by now and of course the squares by spellbinders are very old too, but I still use them both a lot. The Wishing You... is a clear stamp that I have and do not know the name of or who made them. Ok, ok, I know now to write down this stuff before I throw it away!!  The leaves are thinlits from Stampin Up and the Whimsical Flourish is from Memory Box. I believe the fern punch is a Martha Steward. The embossed paper and all papers are from Stampin Up.

Thank You all So Very Much for Stopping By. Have a Wonderful Day!

Today is a very happy day for me. One I am expecting mail from my greatest friend ever and two I get to watch my little grand daughter "LILLY". She is so special to me. I am her all, her Meme.
I just wanted you to see what I have made for her bedroom door. I wanted to show you that I do other things besides cards.

Now this isn't just brand new. I did make it a while ago but today I'm all about Lilly.  :)

Hello, I hope you are having a nice day. The sun is actually shinning right now!!! The snow looks so beautiful!
Yesterday I had my card class again and we made this awesome deer card. The background (the lighter brown) was stamped with pine branch with a pinecone all over it. Then we stamped Happy Birthday all over. She had us drape some dark brown string around two of the corners. The deer is stamped on real leather with a brad in each corner. The dark brown piece behind the deer is real embossed leather that we made fringe.
Thank You for stopping in. :)

Well we finally got some snow! Just over 3" I'd say. We are use to so much more but I hope this is all. The sky still looks rather dark.

About every two weeks I go to a class and an instructor shows us different techniques. The last time I went she showed us a background. It is on glossy paper. Then with a cotton ball we put alcohol on it and then put on an ink. We sponged the glossy paper with the mixture. It was wet and as we made circles, back and forth, and such it started to take on a cool look. We did a few different colors on it. Then very last we sponged metallic gold on it. When all was said and done she said "now make a card with this and bring it back next time to show me what you have done with it. I used Stampin Up brown for the gears and very vanilla for the clock and both are files that I got free on the internet and my machine cut them out. The flowers I used very vanilla and used Fabulous Phlox from Memory Box. Thank You all for stopping by. Have a great day.

Valentines Day 1

Being as Valentines Day is coming up, I thought I would get a little head start. I had some skin colored paper so I decorated the top, (which is a bathing suit), with a pattern paper in pink and white with hearts. I used my decorative scissors to make a trim and put a pink bow in the middle. I stamped the little heart in pink and put a little jewel on top of it. I crocheted a chain with silver string, punched tiny holes for it to go through and tied a knot on the inside. Then I put a tiny red heart as a tattoo! LOL.
The bottom is the same paper and patterned paper. Then the decorative scissors for trim again with the pink bows. And of course a red heart tattoo.

Outlawz Challenge-- Monday Greetings

"I chose Henry Why Not because he reminds me of the cards my son gives to me. They are the best cards in the world. He always says the most loving things in these cards! I'm always excited to get a card from him because I know he has searched our whole town to find the right one." The sponsor for this cute little guy is Crafty Sentiments.

Best Day Ever

Brrrr.... so cold in the mornings!! 10 degrees! I'm watching my daughter's dog and her spouse's dog too. They are little so I've got them all wrapped up in blankets. Little dogs like to be very warm.

This is one of "My Besties" digi's. I love these stamps!! I had so much fun coloring it!! Well first I printed her out on Whisper White from Stampin Up. I used Red cardstock and cut out Spellbinder Shapeabilities "Bow Elegance". The sentiment says: Best day Ever.  I cut out the "Banana Split girl" using the "Gina Marie Designs" die stitched rectangles. I thought a few red jewels would give it just the right amount of Bling!
Thank You for stopping by and I hope you have a Great Day!

The Best of Friends

I hope you all had a great day. Everyday it doesn't snow is a great day to me.

Today I made a birthday card for one of my grand daughter's. I stamped a Whimsy Stamp--The best of friends on whisper white from Stampin Up.  Then I colored it with Copics. I will tell the colors I use later when I get use to bloging. lol  Then I took Close to Cocoa card stock for the base of the card. I then took Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out the die Valiant Honor by Spellbinders. I thought it would give the look of rope. It was fast and fun but I still have a lot to learn
 Thank You for stopping by.

Outlawz Challenge Monday Greetings

Our challenge for this Monday is add an embossing technique to your card, wet or dry. I chose Telephone Time from- http://www.etsy.com/shop/BloobelStamps  Thank You So Much Mle Bloobel, it was a fun one to color.

I stamped her on white cardstock and decided to use pastels with this card, so I used a lt. pink on her dress and also her shoes to match. I colored her hair in a circular motion to imply depth and curls.  I matted her with pastel pink and grey, back to white again. To finish, I stamped and embossed the word "hello" in black.
